 VMM: Providing a Helping Hand

Alia, led a very tough life. She lost her parents in her childhood due to cancer. She had one younger sister. After her parents' demise, her paternal aunt took care of them. Her grandmother worked really hard to feed them. She worked as a domestic help. Her both kidneys were damaged and she was afraid that she might die anytime soon, so she decided to send Alia and her sister to Vasavya Mahila Mandali Urban Deprived Residential Hostel for Girls. She sent them there. And after a few years, she died. Presently, Alia is studying in 8th standard and her sister in 7th standard. Both of them are leading a happy life. Alia is really thankful to Vasavya Mahila Mandali and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan for providing them with shelter and education.
