 VMM: Exceptional care close to you

Sakshi(26), had to suffer a great deal in her childhood. Her parents got separated due to some dispute. And years later, her mother died of cancer. She was alone. Seeing her condition, her maternal uncle asked for her hand in marriage and she agreed. She married him. She worked in a private firm. After some years, she got pregnant and resigned from the job. She got pregnant twice and gave birth to a boy and a girl. She was blessed with two children. She couldn't continue her job as she had to take care of her children. Her husband run a small business where she helped him. But due to some setback, his business doomed to death. He became bankrupt. So, in order to feed her family, Sakshi started tailoring but  couldn't earn ample amount to run her family. So, she joined some job. That time, a Mahila Mitra Member suggested Sakshi to seek help from Vasavya Mahila Mandali as they provide 'Tailoring Missions" to economically suffering women. She wrote an application and sent to VMM. VMM gave her ' Zigzag Mission' to work on. During the mission, she was given training in  tailoring to  make her efficient. She accumulated great skills and completed the mission. She continued tailoring as a profession. She earned INR 7000-8000 per month. But during lockdown period, she had to leave her work hence, she had no money. She contacted VMM again and sought their help. She told them about her economical problem. VMM gave her an opportunity of making masks in the lockdown. Today, she earns INR 9000-10000, per month. She is economically supporting her husband. Their family is living peacefully. 


From ancient times to today's day and age, we have witnessed a lot of women and girls suffering due to one thing or the other. So, let's do something to reduce their suffering. Obviously we can't just eradicate all the problems they face but at least we can do little bit to lessen them. 

So, do your bit by joining in our campaign. Our organisation VMM has recently launched a campaign at global level. It's a virtual campaign, you merely have to put up your signature and aware others about the campaign. 


The campaign "Million Minds" has been launched in order to ensure every woman, girl or children a respectable life. It also aids the survivors of domestic violence, hence, providing them a safe and secure environment.

When she was in 7th standard, her father got her a match for marriage because he was not well and suffered health problems, so he wanted her to marry and get settled.
