 VMM: The best foster care


Priyanshi (30), came to Vasavya Mahila Mandali with her parents and relatives. She was a victim of  Domestic Violence, and her husband was so callous that he threw her out of his house along with her children. He sent her back to her parents house. Priyanshi's father thought of filing a complaint against him in the Police Station, but got no input from the officers there, so he finally decided to consult some counseling centre. He took her daughter to VMM Counseling Centre. The Counselor and the President (Dr.Keerthi) counseled her and called her husband to VMM to sort their differences out. Her husband told the counselor and Dr.Keerthi that he loves his wife and his children, it's just Priyanshi's behaviour that he doesn't like. He told them that Priyanshi under the influence of her parents argued with him almost everyday, and that led to a dispute between them. Dr. Keerthi arranged another meeting for them and their family. Everybody gathered at the meeting. Dr.Keerthi made them realise the importance of marriage life, value of husband-wife relationship, and the future of their children, they realised their folly and sorted their differences. Moreover, Priyanshi was offered a job in VMM office as a Telecaller(according to her qualification), because economic issue was also one of the main reasons of the duo's fight. So, VMM gave her this opportunity through the HCL  Programme. Today, she earns INR 10,000 and is leading a prosperous life with her husband and children.



Cases of Domestic Violence are increasing incredibly. In today's day and age, women don't feel safe even in their homes, they are treated like animals. This is an another episode in the story of domestic violence. I always reckon, how can men be so cruel? A woman leave everything for them - her parents, her house, her memories, her everything and what does she get in the end? 
TORTURE!!! 

WHY! WHY! WHY!

 YOU can do it! Shrilata(48), lost her mother in early childhood. She was raised by her father. He ran a small hotel. When she was in 7th standard, her father got her a match for marriage because he was not well and suffered health problems, so he wanted her to marry and get settled.
