Respect Women

                 Respect Women

Shreelata(30), fell in love with a guy and tied knots with the same in 2008. After one year of their marriage, she gave birth to a baby boy. But her in-laws were callous, they didn't accept her and her child. They stooped down to such a level that they tried to kill both of them. But Shreelata had a narrow escape from them, even her husband harassed her in spite of their love marriage. He used to beat her. So, Shreelata decided to leave her husband. She divorced him. After her divorce, she started working as a salesgirl in a medical shop to make her ends meet. In the medical shop, there was another guy working, named Shiva, he fell in love with her and proposed her, but she rejected his proposal as she was afraid of the society because she was already a married man. But Shiva didn't lose hope and met her family to buy her hand in marriage. Her parents agreed and they got married. An year of marriage passed, he started abusing her, he exploited her, moreover, he had extra-marital affairs with other women. He even stopped giving her any money. Shreelata was crestfallen. She wanted to leave Shiva but she couldn't as this was her second marriage. She approached a Mahila Mitra, who sent her to Vasavya Mahila Mandali Counselling Centre. VMM Counsellor and President sent someone to her husband and they counselled him about the importance of marriage and after three sittings of counselling, he realised his mistake. Now he values her and the duo is living a peaceful life.

Another insight into the sphere of domestic violence. Shreelata fell victim at the hands of the ones who made promises to her that they love her. But what happened in the end? She was abused, tortured, beaten and what not. If people whom we love turn monsters, what should we do?
We should leave them. But what if they don't let us  and we become a victim for the rest of our life.

A woman is the most beautiful creation of God. It's the job of every man to protect and respect her. And if you can't respect them, you obviously don't deserve her.

We all need to ensure the safety of all the women. We can do so by amalgamating with Vasavya Mahila Mandali. All we need to do is a signature and I am pretty sure that you would definitely want to help women but you are merely seeking for that one opportunity.

So here comes the opportunity!!!
